2006 Turley The White Coat - USA, California, Central Coast, San Luis Obispo County (9/17/2008)
WIML89

Tasted September 17, 2008 at an offline.

Opened and served immediately. Yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of nectarine, wet stones and a pinch of cinnamon. Flavors of minerals with light persimmon notes. Light acidity, light to medium body. Drink over the short to medium term. One of the better White Coats I've had in recent memory. (89 pts.)

I really like this wine, I think it is one of the most unique and interesting whites made in CA. I find it hard to assign a score sometimes, the flavors can veer off into the wierd and funky, but it always has this wonderful oily viscous texture - I like it best at red wine temp.

Sounds like it must be getting better. I had an older vintage (2005?) and is was an 82, if that.
