Sorry, I'm late Steve, but better late than never, and I also have my Barbera for November.. 2003 Brolio Chianti Classico Nice deep ruby, with violet edges. Dark slightly cooked fruits (Plums, cherrys, blackberry) like a fresh made jam. You can smell the heat of the summer. A bit of oak. Good acidity and tannins, nice texture, medium plus lenght. Could use a few month in bottle to even out the edges but over all ready to drink now. Very nice QPR $ 23.95 CDN minus 10% scratch and save coupon. Paired with a simple sheppards pie. And would definetly go better with a nice tomato and meat sauce pasta or other dish. JL89 This message has been edited. Last edited by: Vinaigre, JL |
