    WIML93,WA91, WS87

Tasted April 20, 2006 at and offline at Danielle’s Osteria in Dallas, TX. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Garnet color in the glass, slightly dusty hue. Nose of herbs du provence, white pepper, smoke and plums. Lovely palate of black currants, melted licorice and mouth coating red fruits. I think both Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator missed the mark on this wine. Should hold for up to ten more years. Value is recommend. (93 pts.)

Thanks for the note, WIML. I received a bottle of this as a gift while at the winery a couple years ago. Delicious, but surely still at least a few years from peak, considering the Prapo vineyard is in Serralunga d'Alba, which is noted for its austere nature in its youth that opens to beautiful aromatics to compliment its structure with time.
