At a retail tasting, we were only there briefly (as we had another commitment) so these notes were taken quickly:

2005 La Vielle Ferme Cotes du Luberon Blanc - a blend primarily of Grenache blanc and roussane. A little alcohol showing, but quite floral with some tripical fruit and apricot. Quite a nice little wine actually and unbelievable at $5.99. Would make an excellent wedding or party wine. 85-86 points.

2005 Perrin Reserve Cotes Du Rhone Blanc - grenache blanc, rousanne, viogner, some marsanne - darker in color, some oak showing, slight floral component and minerally but not in a good way. Not integrated at all. 82 points.

2005 La Vielle Ferme Cotes Du Ventoux Rose
- one word, yuck.

2004 La Vielle Ferme Cotes du Ventoux Rouge -grenache syrah blend - very light, tastes almost like gamay. Some light cherry, but tastes cheap. 81 points.

2004 Perrin Reserve Cotes du Rhone Rouge - grenache/syrah - smoky wine, with some light red fruit showing on the palate. Better integrated that the prior wine, but a decent Cotes du Rhone at best. I would choose others ahead of this wine. 84-85 points.

2004 Perrin Vacqueyras Les Christins - Quite dark in the glass. Excellent concentration, earthy, with hints of leather, tobacco and game. Dark fuits of plum and blackberry as weell. Needs air and time. There is also a slight chalkiness on the finish. Very nice and a great QPR at $14.99. We will be stocking up. 91-92 points.

2004 Perrin CDP Les Sinards - Obvioulsy tough to judge. Quite round, less fruit forward than the vacqeyrus. Good concentration and a decent value. A touch of leather, noce of tobacco which did not follow through on the palate. Not much else was showing. - 88 points at the moment, no points as to its potential but will likely improve. I liked this better then the previous vintage of this that I have had.

2003 Beaucastel CDP - More open than I would expect than prior vintage. I guess this is due to the 2003 vintage and its heat. Raisins on the nose, with minerals and tobacco. Very fruit forward for a Beaucastel. Extremely long finish. Delicious. Unfortunately, we had to run so I did not write anything else down.

Thanks for the report!

Though it's about 50% more up here, in some vintages the Vacqueyras is a bargain. Sounds like the '04 is one of those.

I think so. I think its normal retail in Florida anyway is more like $19-20. This retailer generally has great prices.

Has the 2004 Les Cristins Vacqueyras yestersay. Very dark in the glass with the Syrah the main component of the taste and palate. The nose has a distinct meaty component. There was a good dose of minerals and iron on the palate with quite a lot of dark blue fruit. Drinking well now but will hold up for 1-3 years. B+/B.
