Had this in Toronto last weekend and it was very good. I thought this was a sangio/cab blend but I believe it is all sangiovese. This wine has a plethora of red fruits but with a dark hue throughout. In certain lighting situations it was quite purple in color. The palate consisted of cherries, cola and bright acidity. To fully enjoy this you need food with it. I remember first trying Sassoalloro in the mid 90's and loving it. This vintage keeps that thought alive. This is a wine worth stocking up on if you can find it for under $30. 91pts and a pleasure to drink.
