2002 Bodegas Alto Moncayo Campo de Borja Aquilon - Spain, Aragón, Campo de Borja (10/4/2005)
Very grenache. Sweet red cherry with characteristic Spanish dusty leather. Some noticable vanilla oak influence. Suprisingly reserved (which isn't to say light bodied by any means) and a nice change from some overbloan "big" Spanish wines. Good length and very cleanly made. Lots of alcohol. Fine-grain, balanced, wood tannins. ***+
