I tried to post this last night as I was drinking but it didn't work, here is the shortened version.
Nose: Violets, rose petals, medium-dark fruits (like wild, dark cherries), and a fascinating smell of a Korean or Cambodian dish which I can't quite put my finger on.
Taste: Drinks like a fuller-bodied great Burgundy. In fact I prefered it (both smell and taste) out of my Burgundy glasses. Lots of medium fruits. That slight tingly feeling that lots of very good and great Barolos give you on the toung -- the perfect combination of acid, tannin, and alcohol. Medium-full bodied.
For $40, I think this is an excellent wine, notabley better than standard Nebbiolos, even from great producers like Sandrone. My score: 91.5ish, maybe 92.
