2003 Talley Vineyards Pinot Noir Rosemary's Vineyard - USA, California, San Luis Obispo County, Arroyo Grande Valley (6/11/2006) You know how you buy a wine from the winery's tasting room and drink it several months (or years) later and wonder "what was I thinking?" This was NOT the case with this stellar Pinot from Talley. This bottle of wine was as good or better than I remember at the winery. We brought it to our monthly wine tasting/dinner and it was a hit. This Rosemary's vineyard is a full-on Pinot with lots of fruit and complexity. Significant earthiness on the nose translating into a very tasty glass of wine. A little higher in alcohol than we like (14.5), but you really couldn't tell. It stood up well against an '03 Louis Jadot Burgundy. How tough is that, Talley & Jadot on the same night? Paired well with the baked Pesto Salmon we had. Yeah, I reckon that I'd recommend this wine. (92 pts.)
jrglm, Thanks for the note. Have you had the Talley Rincon? '02 or '03? Just curious if you can compare the two. I had the ‘02 Rincon a few weeks ago and loved it.

GreenDrazi, Yes, I've had the '03 Rincon. I agree, it's a fantastic bottle of wine as well. We have one left from our visit to the winery.Haven't had the '02 but I'm sure it's every bit as good.
