Cork: came out clean with wonderfully delicious scents of ripe black fruit.

Color: Color in the glass was a dark red.


Scent: let the wine sit in bottle to air out for an hour - yeah yeah I’m sure there really wasn’t much of a change but it smelt so good I didn’t want to spoil what was already in the bottle. Scent in the glass was more deep rich ripe dark fruit.

Taste: wonderfully complex aromas of vanilla, dark fruits, spice and smoke. Silky tannins with a beautiful finish. Harmonious is the word for this wine! All I could think was WOW....96 points.

Thanks! I have yet to try this bottling, but if it is close in quality to the '01 and '98 Maria Teresa, I'm a happy man!

Update:

Vacuvined the remaining half bottle in the original 750ml bottle and consumed the majority on day two....

Very Port-like. Shows raisin, spice, coffee and violet aromas. Full-bodied, very chewy and powerful still.

Might I ask what the price of this wine is in the USA?
