Had 3 2000 Chards at a small tasting this weekend which included many other wines. Here are some small notes on the better ones
1. 2000 Patz & Hall (CA): For $49, I think it is a pass; not a bad wine with typically CA Chard flavors, but too many other QPR chard out there; Doc = 90 points 2. 2000 Domaine Serene (OR): For $32, this is a winner of a wine; excellent mineral, fullness, butter, and pear notes; Doc = 92 points 3. 2000 Henry Biolot Bourgonge (spelling?): For $25, this was the winner of the afternoon; great chalk, mineral streakness, flintiness, medium bodied, Doc = 91 points |

Doc:
$49 seems awful high for the Patz & Hall "Dutton" Chardonnay -- how about $33.99? Maybe back East it is hard to come by?? The Patz & Hall Pinot Noir is one of the best from the 2000 Vintage... |

For to mention, that the Patz & Hall was the Woolsey. Even then, the price, to me, seemed out of balance.
