    The cork was pretty soaked, maybe 1/3 of the length. Upon opening this wine was fairly acidic on the nose and taste buds. I'm not sure if it was a bit "off" or just really tight. For a '99, I expected it to be a bit more ready to drink. Maybe we missed the window of opportunity. Dang it. (83 pts.)
