This wine was poured at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour in Las Vegas earlier this month. The cepage on this Supertuscan is primarily Prunnolo/Sangiovese with Cabernet, Petit Verdot and Syrah in the blend. I am not sure of the exact percentages. A nice wine but one of the more disappointing at this event. It was nondescript and simple in comparison to the other Italians. Notes of cassis in this light to medium bodied wine. Might be better with food or if it were not tried next to so many bigger wines (I don't see the 94 points awarded by WS for this wine). 87-88 points.
