This wine was recommended to me. I bought 1 bottle for $12. This white wine is made from the Favorita grape and is grown in the Roero region of Piedmont Italy. This rare grape dates back to the mid 8th century.

I have had red wines by Gagliardo in the past and have found them to be of good quality. This wine was disappointing. It had a straw color. The nose was filled with pear notes. This was very light with a short finish. It had a slight spritzy character to it which my wife did not like. Taste notes included dried apricot and other orchard fruit. Not much character but nothing offensive. 82 points.
