2006 R Wines Shiraz Boarding Pass - Australia, South Australia (7/6/2008)
WIML88

Tasted July 6, 2008 at an offline.

15.5% alcohol. 100% Shiraz. Opened and served immediately. Definitely needed some decanter time. Crimson color in the glass, fairly vibrant hue. Nose of blueberries dominates followed by some notes of smoke, saddle soap and potpourri. Flavors of blueberries, mixed berries and some cherries. Palate was almost "flat" compared to the huge nose. Light to medium acidity, firm tannins, fairly full bodied. Needs at least an hour in the decanter or some more bottle time. Chris Ringland and Dan Philips project. (88 pts.)
