    Beautiful ruby colored wine. A nose starting to reveal some complexity after 8 years of age. Black currant dominated the initial olfactory impression, to be followed by hot stone and peppery notes. Medium to full bodied with a persistent finish and adequate acidity. While this wine has lost some of the fruit it showed at release, the trade off for more olfactory complexity has paid off. this is drinking beautifully today.

    Drank at home with a grilled huge USDA prime rib eye. (91 pts.)
