Light ruby in color. Some strawberry on the nose but after about twenty miniutes a rubber hose smell pretty much ruined what fruit there might have been there. Some cherry and plum on the palate but lacking the frame work to hold it all together. Some strawberry notes on the finish were pleasant enough and there was a touch of spice, but at this point it was too little too late. Drinkable and nice, but way overpriced at $15.oo. I used to get the 1996 Oak Knoll at Costco for $7.oo a couple of years back and thought it was pleasant and a good value. But double that price and add a dollar and it's not a good value. Lets give this a score of 81pts.

I noted a rubber hose odor after 20 minutes. Thankfully it seems to have dissapated now that I have let a few more hours pass. It seems a little more focused and in balance and the flavors of cherry and strawberry are showing through. A soft gentle style for early consumption.
I'll give it an extra point <82> now that the rubber smell is gone.
