I brought this to Thursday's off-line at Mykha's. I recently purchased it for $60 from a private cellar sale. The wine is from the Barossa Valley.

Fragrant aromas of charcoal, black cherries, and boot polish. Port-like plum and blackberry flavors on the palate, with some coconut nuances. Impressive depth of flavor and glassy texture. Can probably age for several more years, but the fruit sweetness is diminishing into a more oaky/leathery (yet complex) style. Depends up on your stylistic preference. 91P

Cheers,

Otis

I'm finding that my preferences for Aussie Shiraz tend to be for the more subtle ones. This one was very interesting...not over the top but had some characteristics of an over the top shiraz. I wonder if I would have liked this wine young, but with some age it had some nice nuances. I got a lot of smoke and blackberry on the nose with nice blackberry flavors on the palate. 90 pts Thanks for bringing this one Otis.
