There has been a lot of people hyping this as one of their favorite QPR's... and I see why. What a glass of wine for $7.50/bottle. Decanted for 20 minutes. Loads of blackberry, blueberry and dark cherry on the nose. Spice and some vanilla in the background. I was surprised by it's "complexity". This is quite enjoyable... and at this price, it's a "buy by the case" for me. 87-89 points.

A Hunter "Pizza Wine". Real good everyday QPR year after year - vintage doesn't even matter. Glad you enjoyed it.

I've always liked this as well, for an everyday sort of thing. Never had a bad bottle and people always seem to enjoy it.

Great thought. I just had this last week, at $4.00 a glass, in a really nice pizza place. After my wife and I had 2 glasses each, the barguy, who was also the pizza maker, brought another bottle over to our table and had a glass with us. The only problem was that it went great with the pizza, but not so good with the cannolis.

I had this a couple of weeks ago and didn't like it quite as much as some on this board (think I rated it 83 pts). Still, not a bad QPR, but there are some others I like better.

Right on point notes, Bogle QPR is tough to beat, also it's such an easy drinking wine for non-wino's to learn to like. My sisters don't really like dry red wines all that much, however I am converting them and this wine is very easy for them to explore flavors, fruitiness and layers. It's been a hit with them.

This is a wine I keep around the house vintage after vintage--a great one to pull out when you have visitors and you just don't want to bring out the big guns. Echo all of the above.

The bottle I had started out fairly interesting but not something I would think non winos would like. Then it turned very "grapey," which I could see non winos liking (i.e., easy drinking) but not something that impressed me. I'm always looking for a good QPR, so maybe I'll have to try again. Might have been a bad bottle.

I gave this a shot awhile back and did not really care for it. I will admit that it was purchased from Sam's Club (crappy storage a possibility). I might be willing to give it another shot... but a CdR at that price is always more appealing (something from Lirac).

Bogle Petite Sirah is usually pretty dependable, I can see the "Grapey" aspects and have poured this for myself as an after dinner drink when I am to lazy to go open myself a bottle of port. Never thought of it as a pizza wine, but I have enjoyed it with steaks.

It's been a "house wine" at cdr manor for years and years. I love Bogle!

Was gifted a bottle this weekend.
Decent quaffer. Is it really that cheap?
Great QPR in my book.
