  • 2007 Gérard Bertrand Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel Hommage aux Vignerons - France, Languedoc Roussillon, Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel (12/8/2012)
Opaque purple/black colour. Aromas of cassis, black licorice, vanilla, raspberry coulis, sliced black plums, kirsch, garrigue. Full-bodied, with more cassis, kirsch, raspberry coulis, black licorice, spice, and vanilla. Good supporting acidity prevents the wine from being heavy on the palate. Moderate-long finish, ~40-45s, with cassis, vanilla, black plums, and black licorice. Really nice stuff. Drink now-2018. (93 pts.)

Sounds very nice, but I have a question. Are black plums different than purple plums?

Just one more sip.
