This wine is starting to come around, still probably a year or two from optimum. The fruit is starting to emerge from the opening. Showing currant and blackberry with a little cedar as part of the backbone. My notes from a year ago showed strong tannin present and that it was a little hot, this is subsiding and is much smoother. It is gaining complexity and is delicious now but, as I said, wait one more year and you will be glad you did.92-93 pts.

Rigga:

Good to hear, I'm still holding a few of these. Had the 97 last six months ago and rated it 92. I had the 98 GSM last week, it's a definite hold at this point, but also rates a 92 in my book. The 98 was way too oaky on release but that has improved some now and will only get better I expect.

I agree with you, I had a bottle about three weeks ago and it definately needed some more time. The GSM is my favourite of the Rosemount range, more so than even the Balmoral Syrah.
