From Napa Valley. Purchased for $100 from the winery. Around 200 cases were made.

Inky dark color. A soda-shop nose of sweet berries and chocolate. Dense, gooey and hedonistic flavors of blueberry syrup, cocoa, and vanilla bean. Fine-grained tannins framed a medium finish. Nothing subtle about this one, it clearly wants to be noticed. 91P. (Note: Mr. Laube rated this 88P)

There were some similiarites to the '01 Pride Cab in its density, color, and fruit sweetness. But the Pride has significantly more structure and tannic backbone. I would recommend drinking the Secret Clone between now and 2008.

Cheers,

Otis
