2005 Kurt Darting Dürkheimer Hochbenn Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Pfalz (6/21/2008)

I opened a bottle of this as a starter when Allred and his wife came over last weekend. Anwar and Trigirl also popped in after dinner. This was a $3 purchase. This is a fantastic patio wine. It has a slight spritz. Crisp acidity with notes of lemon, slate and some tropical flavors. Served slightly chilled it is very refreshing. It is not a serious wine but extremely enjoyable. I liked the 2004 vintage slightly better. 89 points.
