  • 1998 Pine Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District - USA, California, Napa Valley, Stags Leap District (10/12/2008)
    A dark red that is just starting to lighten and fade, with a slight hint of bricking. Pleasant, full nose of cherry with a hint of rose petal. Light mouth feel, not much weight to it. Just a hint of heat to it letting you know it still has some oomph. Fairly straightforward taste and transition, with noticeable fruit. Nice length to the finish, but nothing special. One of the better 98's I have had, quite enjoyable, a few years left in it, but no room for improvement. 89-90 (89 pts.)
