i've had and loved the woodward canyon just curious as to how good the L'Ecole is???

If you are referring to the Apogee, which is a blend, I think it is wonderful and deserves 92 points.

I think L'Ecole's strength lies in it's Merlot and Syrah & of course the Apogee. I would guess the Woodward canyon makes a marginally better Cab. Try the L'Ecole Coumbia Valley Merlot for $25- Very impressive for the bucks....

I have the columbia valley cab, but not the walla walla.... But I would echo the sentiment that they are more well known for their merlot than cab...

What you must realize is that there is no spoon...

I tasted both the '99 L'Ecole Cab (Columbia Valley) and the '99 Woodward Canyon Artist Series Cab a year ago. Both wines are excellent. I've always been a fan of L'Ecole Cabs (even more so then their Merlot). I would put both wines on the same par as each other. However, the '99 Woodward Canyon "Old Vines" Cab is killer. One of the best (if not the best) cabs from Washington State.
