Nice ruby garnet colour. Less cloudy than previous vintages.
Classic Oregundian nose of earth, little stink and red fruit.
Beautiful attack with ripe but sappy cherry and red raspberry flavours and hints of mineral.
I was thinking very Chambolle last night in terms of palate weight and dancing flavours. Today I get a bit of Gevrey spice and animal, or maybe its just my cat sitting on my lap?

I know many Oregon winemakers hate comparisons to Burgundy. They should get over it. This is possibly the best Oregon Pinot I have ever tasted.

Dain

So far I really like 2003 in Oregon, but you might expect that from me.
