Mineral, wood and game on the palate with a noticeable astringent acidity. The nose has that nice Bordeaux earth and tobacco aroma. The nose does show some alcohol but it does not really affect the flavor. As it is open for a while the fruit becomes almost prune like, not quite that sweet, but still prune comes to mind. While this is not painful to drink, it is still terribly young and the flavors seem bound up in that youth. Probably not destined for greatness.
