2009 Domaine Pavelot (Jean-Marc et Hugues) Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Gravains - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Most mineral character of the three. Beautiful nose of cherry and brambles, but the palate is all about minerality- gravel and eath, some cherry cough syrup flavors on the finish, kind of juicy. I liked this best to begin with but ended up liking the Narbantons a little better. Others weren't that excited about this to begin with but ended up thinking it was 2nd best of the night.
Reticent nose at front but opened after some time in the glass. Aromas remind me of being by the sea with some scents of tobacco along also. Richest of the three, but still medium bodied, red and blue fruits, velvety tannins, tangy. Nice acidity.
