Spicy red fruit, a mineral quality that is somewhat similar to gravel and there is something about this wine that reminds me of asphalt. In addition a bitter orange peel flavor is there. I would say this is light bodied but not watery, hollow or disjointed like some Cotes du Rhone I have had. Excellent cohesion here but a bit too intense for me to really love.
This is Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault and Mourvedre 55%/25%/10%/5%/5%.

I paid $16. I was desperate.
Wow - $16 for their base level CDR, that blows.

spo, I have not had the Terra but it was offered to me by premier cru for the 07. I passed but have never seen it here at retail for that wine. My 03 and 05's Chaupin Cdp's are resting nicely in my cellar now though.

I tried the 06 Terre d'Argile about 2 months ago blind...and I never thought it was a CdR. It was a powerful fruit bomb which really didn't make sense to me but a lot of people liked it...
