Another Otis wine from Saturday. This white wine comes from the Alto Adige region of Italy I believe. This is a cooler, mountainous region North of the Veneto. Pale yellow color. 13.5% alcohol and it showed as the wine felt hot. Surprisingly it finshed quite soft. Notes of mineral and spice. Without the hot edge (which is a characteristic I do not care for) it would have made it into the outstanding category. 88-89 points.

A nice little value for around $12. As good as most $20 Alsatian Gewurztraminers. Eminently drinkable and not overly spicy. 87-88P.

Cheers,

Otis
