A friend brought this out the other night, in magnum form. It was given to him by Matt Loso a few years ago. Probably in extremely short supply, now.
My experience with straight malbecs has been limited to S.American and those have been hit or miss, however this was a very pleasent surprise.
Dark fruit on the nose and palate. A mixture of black raspberry and black cherry, light integrated oak, with hints of anise, cedar and nutmeg, perhaps? A somewhat short, but very nice finish.
I'd give it 90 pts.
