popped and poured.
dark garnet in the glass.
nose of light curry powder, dark cherries, pine needles.
sweet tart cherries, the oak really shows
30 second spicy non sweet dark chocolate bitter finish that finishes very dry.
looking back at notes, I'd say this is a closed wine as none of the fruits were apparent when first tried on release.
Need to open different bottle and stick this for decanting.
NR but it feels like a 85 right now

Good thing I kept 3/4 of the bottle left ...
Smoky, cedar wood, soft sweet red cherries on the nose.
On the palate is smooth tannins, slight spicy red fruits, cherry turning currant like.
20 smooth citrus light coffee finish
90.

Sounds more like what I would have expected. I have not had this particular wine; however, the St. Innocent's are typically made to need aging -- consistent with a better showing on Day 2.
