Of the '04, '05, '06 trio....this is definitely my favorite one. Lovely wine. Very young, but notes of white flowers, steely mineral, light white peach, light citrus oil, bracing acidity and a soft glycerin filled midsection. Long finish. 94+ pts.

I have had only a small sample of 2006s, but they are a lot more approachable now than 2005. Have you tried very many wines from this vintage? I have several on order, but have yet to taste many but am curious to know what people think. Planning to go to Beaune in October (and maybe September too), perhaps I will get more experience with the vintage then.

I've had some of Pernot's '06's and even the Bourgogne for $20 is quite nice. Most of the people I've talked to have felt as though the '05's were more approachable and ripe, with the '04's being very acidic and tight. The '06's are being hailed as a great blend of the two.

If you hear of any good 2006 tastings, I would love to hear about it. You seem to have your finger on the pulse of the Burgundy wine world. If I am off, I am wiling to travel.
