Beautiful dark black/purple opaque juice, with a pleasing nose of sweet fruit and violets. Black fruits, chocolate, and spices dominate this wine along with enough alcohol to cause a fire, 15%+, but the wine is not overly hot --- You can drink this wine early or cellar for another ten+ years, but I don't think this will be a long termer.

Attractive bottle and packaging, but I think there is too much cost associated with the packaging. Buccella has increased in price each year and I dropped from the list when Mark Herold left, and the price continued to increase. This is a small production winery, but I think they are going to paint themselves into a corner if they continue to raise prices while producing so few cases, 325 cases.

I have had a few of these already and really enjoyed them. I think it rivals many of the other cult cabs but at a better value. (My cab collection now includes Caymus SS, Grace, Vineyard 29, Harlan as well as Buccella) Smile
