After the rash of disappointing 98 Zins I've opened lately, this was a wonderful change of pace. The clear ruby color is light for a Zin. Sprightly acidity, bright/tart raspberry and blackberry notes, and good tannin structure in this clean, sharply focused Zin show its still got at least 2-3 years to improve.

We stopped in at Everett Ridge last year. My recollection of the Zin was the same as yours ... although I would not think it will improve much. I didn't buy any zin thre because it is available in retail here in Milwaukee. I did buy some reserve Cab that will need some additional bottle time.

You know JEB, in retrospect I think I agree with you. "Improve" - probably not, but certainly it will hold. Of course, it's drinking so nicely now, why wait?
