2003 Davis Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (6/8/2006)

Tried this at a retailer tasting yesterday. This was better than the 2001 version of this wine but still was not in the outstanding category in my opinion. Somewhat rustic and old world in character. Red fruit notes with some twizzler thrown in on the finish. Medium bodied. 88 points.

There goes Vino Me with those exotic descriptors again. Has anyone here ever tasted "twizzler"??

Since there a 4 flavors of twizzlers, I suppose I should have specified strawberry.

I just got an offering email of this wine for $45. With your tasting notes, I think I will pass. Thank you for helping me screen out average wine for this price.
