Nose of grilled teriaki chicken, sea salt, thyme, poached pears and yellow apricots. Rich, fuller-bodied on the palate with just a hint of sweetness, a little bitter, but in a good way, still lots of teriaki, with minerals galore. Wet stones, limestone, chalk, the sea. Long rich finish. Note: while the first glasses poured looked a bit like wine, most of the bottle, once opened and warmed a touch, was orange-ish and cloudy. 93

Noe of pineapple, underbrush, chicken teriaki, sage, more roasted chicken, white pepper, salt.

Palate of tropical teriaki chicken, orange rind, with just a hint of hoysin sauce and herbs du Provence. Long, sweet (but not from RS) and salty finish.

This is one of the most unique wines on the planet, it is not super-expensive ($33ish) and it is excellent... It is worth seeking out for anyone who is interested in learning more about what wine can be like... or who just wants amazing white wine that looks like a science experiment and tastes awesome.

92.5
