Classic Burgundy nose, forest floor and a hint of barnyard, deep red fruit that really goes on, 15 second finish. Not too tannic, was recommended for cellaring for 4 to 5 years, but I thoroughly enjoyed this baby now. About $48, still on the shelves. Got a half case, so I'll drink about 1 a year to see how it goes.

Nice to see another Pommard fan. I can't say I'm familiar with this bottling, but I enjoyed your notes. Thanks. Cellaring does wonders even to ordinary Pommards. Smile

There is nothing like a good bloody Pommard. I agree they benifit from some cellaring. I have been drinking the 99 Drouhin. Wonderful wine. I too have never seen this bottling, but your notes sound good. That damn barnyard, why do we chase that ?

LCBO #903492. Quite a lot still on the shelves. Natalie Maclean gave it a 93.
