Tasted March 29, 2006 at a retail tasting. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel restaurant series stem. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of citrus, pear, yellow apple and a touch of vanilla from the brief time in barriques. Flavors of pear, lemon curd and almonds. Good balance overall. Crisp and lively on the palate. Value is between acceptable and agreeable at $12.74 after discount. Drink now. (88 pts.)
