Purchased at the winery on release, I hadn’t tasted this wine since and thought it about time for a revisit. A very slightly cloudy light gold color, the fine nose on this wine offers up aromas of flint, grapefruit, minerals, and muted spice. Excellent texture and lively acidity mark the palate, with intensifying minerality, creamy but not in the least flabby, with a pure core of fruit and a sharp clean finish. I don't foresee any improvement with additional age, but it is not fading in the least. 90 points, drink now-2006.
