Disappointing, I bought a couple of bottles recently. I'll hold them for a few years and hope to have a better experience. Any thoughts about aging this wine?

this wine is nowhere near its end,I wouldn't even open it for a few years.John Duval was the winemaker for penfolds for a looong time.It has more balance, structure and potential then 99 percent of new Aussie wines I've tasted.

- 2005 John Duval Wines Shiraz Entity - Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley (10/11/2008)
Dark red with a nose of smoke, fresh blackberries and plums. Very refined, a little muted due to its youth but nice blackberry and some cherry notes on a elegant, grainy tannic finish. Low acidity and not jammy at all. Well done. revist in 3-4 years. 92+ (92 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker

2005 John Duval Wines Shiraz Entity - Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley (5/11/2008)Brought to a restaurant for Mother's Day so limited notes, but this one was bigger and oakier than the 04, more towards the stereotypical Aussie fruit bomb style, albeit a very well done one. Dark fruit flavors of plum and blackberry on a full body frame with low acidity. More polished and complex than most other big Shirazes. Prefer the 04 which was more elegant and had less oak.
