Thanks for the notes, Eric. I have two bottles of this wine. Sounds like I ought to wait a while longer for those hard tannins to soften.

We had our final bottle of this 2 nights ago. It was also our final bottle of 1985 Bordeaux, which I regard as an early maturing vintage that is now tiring. The Mouton was soft and elegant but lacked the vibrancy of a few years ago. 89
Just one more sip.

I bought mine at release so I know they were stored well. Of course, they might have been percolating on a ship across the Atlantic.
