Concentrated, full-bodied, with a wonderful tannic structure. Drinking beautifully right now. Blackberries, cassis, some spice and black cherries all blend perfectly together for this rich blend of Cabernet, Cab Franc and Merlot.

Wow!!Probably the best bottle of wine I've had this year. Wonderful balance & sense of harmony blend with currant, blackberry & creamy cherry followed by anise, coffee & hints of leather. Firm ripe tannis on the finish. Still a few years left in this wine.
Had this back to back with the 99 which didn't exactly pale by comparison, but the 97 is clearly the winner right now. Be interesting to see if the 99 develops this well.

will work for wine.

I only have two of these and I'm wondering how much life is in this wine. I like my wines a little toned down and love the complexity some of these bordeaux blends acquire after some time. How much tannin is still left here? Will it go for 3,5 10 more years?

I'm certainly no expert on aging wines, have to rely on ws, but I think it has at least 3 more years left. I only have 1 bottle left myself. [Frown]

will work for wine

Thanks for the notes. I've got one bottle I'd forgotten about and will pop it open on Sat.
