My second bottle of this wine in the last 2 months. This is pure Burgundy Heaven. Rich and sappy dark red/black fruit, violets, sandalwood, mulling and cigar spices, sweet oak, creme de cassis, and dark red rose emminate from this wine. Full bodied, but with great precision. Low/moderate acidity, with plenty of freshness to elevate this wines richness, which is in no way heavy or flabby. Ample fine grained tannins hidden behind this wines wealth of fruit. Very well balanced. Drinking so well right now, my mind says it certainly has more for the future, but my heart is too in love to think otherwise. 94+ pts.

Had this again. Delicious 2005. This is drinking very well right now, and I don't think it will ever "need" any significant age. This bottle was not as full bodied as I remember, but instead showed an amazing amount of power and richness without any weight. Elegant and loaded with flavor at the same time. Wonderful example of 2005 red Burg.. The 2005 Village wines are where it's at! 94 pts.
