Decanted up to three hours. Interesting tarry and smoky aromas but missing fruit on the mid palate. Tannins became even more aggressive with more decanting. Pretty tart, acidic finish. Tried on the second day, where those unpleasant acetone (nail polish) notes have evolved.
I don't know if there was any fruit in this wine to start with, but if it was, then it has left a long time ago. However, storage should have been excellent as was the condition of the cork. I'd rate this 83 (WS 91).
I must have been a root louse in a past life....
