Rummaging around the wine cellar, I discovered this long forgotten wine waaaay in the back – lucky me!
Cork was in perfect condition (looked like it came out of a 2000) Color – dark purple with a blue rim Nose – Blackberry and blueberry with enough vanilla to confirm this wine had an long-term relationship with American Oak. Taste – Blackberry, black cherry, anise and green pepper supported by considerable tannins. If I hadn’t opened this wine myself, I would have sworn this wine was three years younger. Excellent value and a real treat if you happen to come across it.
