Medium red color. Sweet cherry and big American oak nose leads a candied cherry, licorice, and fat oak palate. Nice balance, but way over oaked at this point. They get 50 bucks for this stuff? No thanks. Maybe the oak will settle with time, but I'm not terribly impressed. 86 points.

Got mine for $37.00 per. Got a case. Agree with your tasting notes except I found it a little "hot" on the finish which I suspect it's from the high alcohol content. I thought this was a very good wine but needs some time in the bottle. A year from now, this will be really good. Not a great QPR but!!!
