This is a very good tawny but over rated point-wise. Light amber color. Light on the nose showing a whiff of fig and dried fruits. Fig and caramel on the palete with touches of rasins and a light acidity. Lacking in body and depth for me, slightly simple but definitely elegant. Very well balanced with a medium length finish. 91-92 points is closer to reality.
I absolutely love this Port; for my taste it is perhaps the best 10YOT out there. The highest I've rated it was 93 points. JHD, when was yours bottled?

I'm not saying that I didn't love this, just that it didn't measure to the WS hype of it. You open a 95 point wine, you expect a "wow" factor and it wasn't there. Still, a very good port and reasonable bargain.
I tasted this tonight as part of a Portuguese wine tasting (hosted by the Roots and myself): a 2004 bottling: all-round elegance, great balance between fruit and more mature flavours. I'll say it again, one of the best 10YOT out there. 95 points? No, not for me, but still great!
