Tasted "double blind", 10/21/09, in a mixed-varietal lineup of pre-1990 reds. (except not really blind for this one, because I figured out fairly readily it was my wine)

Delicious tea-leaf/cherry/sous-bois nose, smooth & integrated tannins, sweet vibrant fruit & smacking acidity, although it oxidized quickly with air.
92 pts. Unfortunately, this was the last bottle left at 2020 Wines.

Thanks for the note.

I did not have much luck with many '85 CdP, but the Rayas was special each time I had it. Smile

What is it like in 2009? Is the stock market still down? Did the Dodgers make the playoffs? Wink

Glenn, that was for Board-O's benefit.

Of course, if you were to open this wine now, it would be closed down, tight, and hard as nails! Don't ever make the mistake of opening your Rhones too young, like Board-O did.

A year from now, assuming you've built yourself a good nuke-proof survival pod, this wine will be lovely.
Big Grin
