Had this awhile back... forgot to post.

  • 2000 Shafer Merlot - USA, California, Napa Valley (8/24/2005)
    Excellent, as always. Nicely integrated this time... nose was full right out of the bottle with cola, plum, mocha and spice. Drinks like a cab... med/full bodied, with cassis, espresso and slight earth, all nicely wound together. I would not hesisitate to pop this now. Missed out on the '02, but saw the '03 in stores recently.
