hey, man, $40.00 for mcintosh apples? not to put the winemaker down( or apple growers, for that matter) , but simple economics are not on their side. especially in a sparkling section there are plenty of great choices for less. i can not see myself financing somebodie's experimental ventures in sparkling ones. concerning your q. the other day, no, you did not give that impression. at least not to me. i sense racism from a far, and to call somebody just that, based on simple questioning of circumstances is very myopic and very, very clintonesque. cheerios.

i actually liked your mcintosh ref. we , my wife and i, like french cider( is it ok to say that these days? ) and it's cool to be able to pick up aromas of an exact speciment. it's even better when the final product had never anything to do with apples to begin with. we've had a bottle of 2000 Vouvray Moncontour demi-sec tonite and it was reeking of apples, green, ripe and sweet. we did not get the varietal though. i'm sure it was not indiginal to north america.
