Fresh apples on the nose and in the mouth ( McIntosh ), with good acidity and fine mousse. A little pricy at a retail price around $40.00, but ups the ante for Oregon sparkling wine. To my taste, better than Argyle's, though Argyle sparklers are quite good.

hey, man,
$40.00 for mcintosh apples? not to put the winemaker down( or apple growers, for that matter) , but simple economics are not on their side. especially in a sparkling section there are plenty of great choices for less. i can not see myself financing somebodie's experimental ventures in sparkling ones.
concerning your q. the other day, no, you did not give that impression. at least not to me. i sense racism from a far, and to call somebody just that, based on simple questioning of circumstances is very myopic and very, very clintonesque. cheerios.

Thanks, grun. I needed that.
To clarify, the apple flavors pre-dominate, but there are a lot of other flavors there ( quince, lime, bing cherry, et al ). I just really hate to go overboard on adjectives that may make sense only to me........

i actually liked your mcintosh ref. we , my wife and i, like french cider( is it ok to say that these days? Big Grin) and it's cool to be able to pick up aromas of an exact speciment. it's even better when the final product had never anything to do with apples to begin with.
we've had a bottle of 2000 Vouvray Moncontour demi-sec tonite and it was reeking of apples, green, ripe and sweet. we did not get the varietal though. i'm sure it was not indiginal to north america.
